6800xt Undervolt Settings Work !!better!! | DELUXE |
Undervolting the Radeon RX 6800 XT is widely considered the most effective way to optimize the card, as it can reduce power draw by up to 80W and lower junction temperatures from with minimal performance loss. Recommended 6800 XT Undervolt Settings
If you crash:
Why this works: The 6800 XT is voltage-limited, not frequency-limited. By lowering the voltage, you reduce the heat density, allowing the GPU to sustain its boost clocks longer without hitting the thermal or power limits. 6800xt undervolt settings work

- Open Curve Editor, enable manual editing.
- Identify the highest frequent boost point under load (e.g., 2300–2500 MHz nominal for 6800 XT varies).
- Lower the voltage at that point in 12–25 mV steps (0.012–0.025 V). Apply, run a 10–15 minute stress/benchmark, monitor for crashes/artifacts.
- Repeat until you observe instability; step back to the last stable voltage.
- AMD Reference Card (2x8-pin): This card has the worst cooling. Undervolting is almost mandatory. Without it, the hotspot will hit 110°C quickly. These cards usually need a more aggressive undervolt (1.025V - 1.050V).
- Sapphire Nitro+ / PowerColor Red Devil: These have overkill triple-fan coolers. Undervolting works here too, but the primary benefit is noise reduction. You can run fans at 1,200 RPM instead of 2,000 RPM.
- ASUS TUF / XFX Merc 319: These are middle-of-the-road. Expect stability at 1.075V - 1.100V.
can significantly reduce power consumption by up to 30% and drop junction temperatures by 20–30°C with negligible performance loss. While every card is unique due to the "silicon lottery," most stable undervolts for this card fall between 1025 mV and 1075 mV.
