The episode begins with the introduction of Batool, played by Bilal Qureshi, who loses her precious spectacles (ainak) in a crowded marketplace. Her search leads her to an antique shop, where she discovers an old, peculiar-looking mirror. Unbeknownst to her, this mirror is the abode of Ainak Wala Jin, who is bound to serve the owner of the spectacles.

• Makeup and Costumes: This was the show's strongest suit. At a time when most Pakistani dramas were just people in shalwar kameez talking in drawing rooms, Ainak Wala Jin attempted creature design. Nastoor’s ears and nose, and Zakota’s distinct look, were major achievements for PTV’s makeup department.
• Visual Effects (VFX): By modern standards, the "magic" effects—simple camera tricks, superimpositions, and glowing eyes—are primitive. However, in 1993, they were magical to the target demographic. The use of the "third eye" and magical transportation was executed with the technical limitations of the time in mind, relying more on sound design than visual spectacle.
• Set Design: The sets were minimal, using painted backdrops to simulate caves and dungeons. This gave the show a distinct "theatrical" feel, almost like watching a stage play recorded for TV.
