1. Present: Get battery from the robot in the hallway (use tentacle on robot to make it drop battery).
2. Send battery to past via Hoagie’s toilet.
3. Past: Hoagie gives battery to Ned the bartender (tavern). Get hiccup cure.
4. Present: Give hiccup cure to the tiny tentacle in the kitchen (it hiccups → releases Hoagie in past).
5. Past: Hoagie is free.
