Issue 2: Code 10 (Device Cannot Start)
- Solution: Windows 10’s power management may be cutting power to the USB port. Go to Device Manager > Universal Serial Bus controllers > Right-click USB Root Hub > Properties > Power Management > Uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device." Repeat for all USB Root Hubs.
- Go to Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter settings.
- Right-click the Wireless Connection > Properties > Configure.
- Under Advanced tab, set:
- You will likely need the Ralink RT3070 driver.
- Visit the official MediaTek downloads page or a trusted driver archive.
- Search for the driver dated for Windows 7/8 (it works on Windows 10 via compatibility mode).
- Search for "Realtek RTL8188EU" on the Microsoft Update Catalog website.
- Download the latest
.cabfile for Windows 10 x64 (or x86 if 32-bit). - Extract the
.caband manually install via Device Manager.
