You lose the struggle. Half the fun of GD Tycoon is that tough call between research and marketing. With unlimited points, that tension vanishes. You're just clicking "Research All" every month.
The game becomes a sandbox, not a sim. That's fine if you're into that, but don't expect the usual "one more game" tension loop.
The mid-game collapses. Once every tech is maxed by year 5, you're just reskinning the same perfect game engine over and over. The "What should I research next?" question is gone forever.
