A bug in earlier chipset firmware (versions 10R-02 and 10R-03) kept the GPS processor in "active idle" mode, draining batteries overnight. Version 6953 corrects this, adding 8-12 hours of extra runtime in GPS-only mode. garmin 10r-04 6953 update
