Advance Design Tutorial ((full)) | Graitec
Concrete Projects: The My First Project: Concrete Edition is a comprehensive 12-lesson series. It covers everything from defining columns and walls to final reinforcement of footings and slabs.
Design Mode: Where specific material design (Steel, Concrete, Timber) takes place. Results Mode: For post-processing and report generation. 2. The Modeling Phase graitec advance design tutorial
- Draw a steel beam (Select Steel beam > IPE section).
- Apply loads as above.
- Go to Design > Steel > Verify.
- Look at the "Utilization ratio." If it is
0.45, the beam is too strong (heavy).
- Click Design > Optimize.
- Set target utilization to
0.85.
- AD will cycle through IPE sections (IPE 200, 220, 240) until it finds the smallest beam that works.
- Result: It might switch from IPE300 to IPE270, saving you 15% in steel cost.
- Installation: Download and install the software from the Graitec website. Make sure to follow the installation instructions carefully.
- Launch the software: Launch Graiter Advance Design and create a new project.
- Set up the project: Define the project settings, including the units, material properties, and load cases.
