  1. Calculate the average score for each pillar.
  2. Multiply the pillar average by its weight.
  3. Sum the weighted scores to get the Total Panchayat Work Index Score (out of 100).

4. Maintenance and Updating Protocol

  • Frequency: The index must be updated monthly by the Panchayat Secretary after the Gram Sabha or Panchayat Executive Committee meeting.
  • Public Access: A soft copy of the index shall be displayed on the Panchayat’s notice board and uploaded to the e-GramSwaraj portal or State Panchayat portal.
  • Hard Copy Register: A bound register (Form-9 or equivalent) shall be maintained at the Panchayat office for inspection.
