Informatica Powercenter 10.6

Informatica has not officially released a major version 10.6 for PowerCenter

For many organizations, the functional "next version" after PowerCenter 10.5 isn't 10.6, but rather Cloud Data Integration for PowerCenter (CDI-PC). This service, part of the Informatica IDMC platform, allows users to run their existing PowerCenter assets in a cloud-native environment without a full manual rewrite. 1. Replatform: Export PowerCenter mappings as XML and import into IDMC’s Cloud Data Integration (CDI) service.
2. Wrapping: Leave PowerCenter 10.6 running but use it as a “transformation engine” called by cloud orchestrators (Airflow, Azure Data Factory).
3. Replace: Rewrite critical pipelines in dBT, Spark, or Dataflow—often cheaper for net-new cloud workloads.
