Method C: Using Compatibility Mode (if the driver is for Windows 8/10)

Some newer Jinco chips (e.g., RTL8821CU) don’t have official Windows 7 drivers but community-modified ones exist. To install:

Open Device Manager (press Win + R, type devmgmt.msc, hit Enter).
Look under Universal Serial Bus controllers or Other devices.
Right-click the unknown device → Properties → Details tab.
From the dropdown, select Hardware Ids.
You will see something like USB\VID_0BDA&PID_8179 or USB\VID_148F&PID_3070.

Option A: Using an Installer (.exe)

Do not plug in the Jinco adapter yet.
Run the installer as Administrator (right-click → Run as administrator).
Accept the license agreement.
Choose “Install driver only” (avoid bundled utilities unless needed).
When prompted, plug in the Jinco adapter.
Wait for the “Device ready” message. Restart Windows 7.

No Internet? If you cannot get online to download the driver, use a different PC or a smartphone with USB Tethering to temporarily share your phone's internet with the PC.
