5. Later Life and Moderation
After World War I and a severe wounding, Kokoschka’s romantic lifestyle cooled. He married Olda Palkovská in 1934, and their relationship was more stable and domestic. Entertainment shifted to long walks, collecting folk art, and hosting quieter intellectual salons in Prague, London, and finally Switzerland.
