1. Overview & Purpose
A Padded Cell is a special, high-security room in Prison Architect designed exclusively for prisoners diagnosed with the Insane trait (introduced in the Psych Ward: Warden’s Edition DLC / Cleared for Transfer update). Unlike standard cells or even solitary cells, padded cells are the only room type that can reduce a prisoner’s Polaroid (Sanity) meter and treat severe mental breakdowns.
