- Visual Clarity is a War Crime: Units change color slightly upon evolution. That’s it. In a heated 8-player final fight, telling your Level 5 "Corrupted Paladin" apart from your opponent’s is a feat of pixel-spotting, not skill.
- The Difficulty Spike: Wave 9 (The Inquisition) is brutally overtuned. Even after 30 hours in v16e, a specific enemy composition (double Lancer + Purge Aura) is a guaranteed run-ender with zero counterplay. This isn't difficulty; it's a dice roll.
- Oni’s Silence: The developer famously does not explain hidden mechanics. The "Evolution Matrix" (which unit eats which) is discovered via community wiki sacrifice. For new players, the game is a brick wall.
