Walkthrough Strategy

You must build a causeway while defending against fire ships. Goal: Destroy the Sacred Band of Thebes

Restore Health: In the Restoration Room, find the purple solution to treat Jacob. You will need to locate a "nose nipper," plane, and key during this phase.

Mission 2: The Theban Knot

• Goal: Destroy the Sacred Band of Thebes.
• Map Trick: The Theban commander has a Spirit of Epaminondas buff. Lure him into the olive grove (NE corner) to nullify it.
• Secret: Capture the altar before burning the city – unlocks Athenian Fire grenadiers for Mission 5.

Missions 3-5: The Persian Frontier (Granicus to Halicarnassus)

• Mission 3 Memnon’s Ambush: Ignore the main road. Send a scout unit west to trigger a supply crate. The updated AI now punishes road-hugging.
• Mission 4 Siege of Miletus: Old guides say "use rams". Wrong. In UPD, dig a tunnel (requires 50 IP) under the eastern tower – instant collapse.
• Mission 5 Halicarnassus:
  UPD Secret: After capturing the harbor, do not kill the Persian admiral. Let him sail away. He will return in Mission 12 with a weaker fleet.
