Surya Prashnavali: Meaning, Origin, and How to Use It

Surya Prashnavali (also spelled Surya Prashnaavali or Suryapraśnavāli) is a traditional Hindu astrological method used to obtain quick guidance or answers to personal questions by interpreting the position of a randomly selected verse (prashna) from a fixed set of verses associated with the Sun (Surya). It blends elements of prashna (question) astrology and devotional invocation of the Sun as a divine teller of fate.
