Test Drive Unlimited 2 (TDU2) has a passionate community around car packs — curated sets of vehicles that change how the island drives, looks, and feels. Below is an engaging overview, suggested themed packs, and practical tips to help you build, run, and enjoy car packs whether you’re modding, roleplaying, or organizing online meetups.

2.5 Audio & Immersion

  • Dynamic engine sounds – echoes in tunnels, reverb in garages, pops on overrun.
  • Radio integration – certain cars (Classic Retro tier) only get period-correct radio stations unless upgraded.
  • Fix: Many community cars clone the sound of existing vehicles. Open the TDU2/DataBase folder and edit CarPhysicsData.db with a DB editor (Notepad++ won't work). Map the new car's engine sound ID to a similar vanilla car (e.g., map the Huayra to the Zonda sound).
