Plot

The Lobo brothers, orphaned and hardened by life on the run, find a town oppressed by Don Antonio and his three sons: the violent Iván, the sly Fidel, and the sickly Sebastián. The central conflict quickly becomes a bloody, escalating war of attrition. César uses cunning and brute force, Román is impulsive and dangerous, while Elías provides a moral counterpoint.

As Victoria navigates her way through the complex web of relationships and alliances in La Rinconada, she meets Alejandro (played by Mauricio Ochmann), a former love interest who is now married to Victoria's cousin, Catalina (played by Lisset).

Set in the late 19th century (circa 1875), the story begins in the desolate, arid landscapes of Extremadura, Spain. After the death of their father—a corrupt businessman and landowner—the brothers are left to fend for themselves. But they are far from innocent lambs. Antonio (played by Raúl Mérida) is the impulsive, violent strategist, while César (Juan José Ballesta) is the younger, more sensitive brother caught in the wake of Antonio’s storm.

The Land Dispute: Lobo wants to seize the Bravo brothers' land, which is the only property in the area he doesn't already control.
