Zte F680 | Firmware
I couldn’t find any official or verified firmware download for the ZTE F680 in my knowledge base. That model appears to be an older ZTE ONT/ONU (Optical Network Terminal), commonly used in GPON/EPON fiber deployments by various ISPs.
The firmware acts as the bridge between the F680's physical components—such as its GE ports, USB 3.0 interface, and 3x3 MIMO antennas—and the data it transmits. Key responsibilities include: Zte F680 Firmware
- 5 GHz Band: Provides faster data rates ideal for bandwidth-intensive applications like HD video streaming and online gaming, offering speeds of up to 1167 Mbps.
- 2.4 GHz Band: Offers better wall penetration and range for stable connections with smart home devices and older peripherals.
- Gigabit Ports: The device features GE (Gigabit Ethernet) ports, ensuring that wired connections can match the high speeds of modern fiber-optic internet plans, eliminating bottlenecks that exist in older 100 Mbps routers.
ISP Lock: Many F680 units are "ISP-locked." Installing a generic global firmware may disable specific services like VoIP or IPTV provided by your carrier. It is always recommended to use firmware provided by your Internet Service Provider. I couldn’t find any official or verified firmware

Because the F680 is an ISP-focused device, the firmware is almost always customized. A firmware version running on a unit from ISP "A" (e.g., Telecom Italia or Orange) will likely not work correctly on a unit from ISP "B," even if the hardware is identical. These customizations often include branded logos, specific security protocols, and hardcoded remote management credentials (TR-069). 5 GHz Band: Provides faster data rates ideal
Click Upgrade. Do not turn off the router or disconnect the cable during this process. Reboot:
